The development of digital technology also affects public’s thoughts on medical care. Four major cooperation goals to make pharmacies and hospitals smarter

When smart technology meets the medical industry, it will accelerate the birth of a new precision health ecology. Institute for Information Industry and Missioncare Co. signed a comprehensive strategic alliance and proposed four major cooperation goals. First, the general direction is to build a "smart pharmacy." by using AI facial recognition and blockchain technology to connect the health care products that people usually buy, with information about visits and combine daily health and medical records to develop holistic care based on big data analysis, and be a role model of operating platform ion the industry.


Another goal is to define an integrated service system standard for "5G Smart Hospital" to save patients' time in the hospital, use smart voice services to directly dictate diagnosis instructions and test reports, and integrate smart networked monitoring devices, which can be remotely grasp the patient's long-term physical and mental status and behavior, and issue warnings to notify medical staff when they are critical, which not only reduces the workload of nursing staff, but also enhances emergency response efficiency.

 

In terms of disease prevention, they will launch the "Health Checkup 2.0" personalized service. Combine regular health check routine with genetic testing can accurately locate the risk of disease which allows the public to know their health status in real time, preparing for future health in advance, and leading the development of data value-added service in the industry; the last focus of this cooperation is to continue to promote the "New Focus Point" smart care service, using many stores of Missioncare as sites, utilizing smart networking equipment verification technology to allow people to walk to the community sites to measure and track physical activities, rehabilitation effectiveness, and keep track of physiological status.

Note: Missioncare started off as a 17-bed surgical hospital 45 years ago. In the past years, it has gone through scale expansion, enterprise reformation, transformation, and continuous upgrades through integration of resources from various areas, with points (hospitals, pharmacies), lines (integration of healthcare, medicine, and health checkup) and facets (from treatment to pretegic treatment), step by step, establish a holistic health industry ecosystem, which is rarely seen in Taiwan.
